Bringing Up Baby
Training begins the day of their birth with imprinting. Imprinting is the exposing of the foal to various noises and sensations so they become sensitized to experiences such as the feel of human hands, the spray of water, the noise of clippers and other stimuli. It continues through the first few weeks with the giving of their feet, the constraints of a halter and lead rope. And into their first months with the experience of trailering and standing tied. Using Natural Horsemanship Methods, gradually and quietly introducing them to all of these experiences. The result is a quiet, confident, curious, and trusting horse, who is friendly, willing and desires to be a partner with their person. It is my joy to train a horse in this way and to provide them to those who wish for just such a horse.
